MATH PROGRAM

Alaska’s Mathematics Program seeks to address the traditional challenges of teaching math. It integrates the Ministry of Education and Training’s 2018 General Education Program with the Logical Mathematics Program developed by Prof. Dr. Le Anh Vinh. Dr. Vinh, an esteemed mathematician with a Ph.D. from Harvard University and extensive experience in international mathematics competitions, brings a wealth of expertise to our math curriculum. This integration aims to foster a more engaging and effective approach to learning mathematics, catering to the diverse learning styles of our students.

The Mathematics Program at Alaska International Primary School is designed to provide students with a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. The program not only covers the standard framework of the Ministry of Education and Training but also introduces modern mathematics concepts in a simple and age-appropriate format. The diverse math exercise system aims to stimulate children’s curiosity and creativity through visual illustrations, games, group activities, and more.

Furthermore, the school’s approach to teaching mathematics emphasizes making the subject enjoyable and interesting for students. Additionally, by reserving some classes in the 5th-grade curriculum to teach specialized topics in Mathematics, Alaska International Primary School ensures a balance between engaging content and the basic knowledge required by the Ministry of Education and Training.
