SPORT DAY 2024 OPENING CEREMONY

This morning on March 12, 2024, the Taekwondo competition for grades 4 and 5 officially kicked off Sport Day 2024, bringing a fiery and determined atmosphere to Alaska’s biggest sporting event of the year.

Running from March 11 to March 26, 2024, Sport Day 2024 for elementary school students in Alaska includes four competitions: Basketball (for grades 3, 4, 5), Tug-of-war, Sack Jumping, Flashmob, and Taekwondo. These sports are beloved by Alaskids and are suitable for the abilities and health of elementary school-age children. In particular, basketball and Taekwondo are expected to witness the most fierce competition, as they are included in the weekly curriculum of Alaskids and are taught and guided by experienced coaches.

The whistle has blown for Sport Day 2024. Let’s cheer enthusiastically for Alaskids so that they can confidently express their passion, promote the spirit of solidarity and determination, and form an awareness of the importance of exercising for good health. This will ultimately prepare them for competing in district and city sports competitions.
