MCGRAW-HILL PUBLISHING HOUSE REPRESENTATIVES VISIT AND COLLABORATE WITH ALASKA ACADEMY

On February 11, 2025, representatives from McGraw-Hill Publishing House – Mr. Shahed Ahmed, the Representative in charge of Asia, and Ms. Vicky Nguyen, the Representative in Vietnam – visited and worked with Alaska Academy.

This annual meeting between McGraw-Hill and Alaska Academy serves to exchange ideas, provide feedback, and improve the curriculum surrounding the two textbooks: Wonders and Inspire Science, which Alaska Academy has been implementing and applying at the Preschool and Elementary levels.

Expressing his pleasure and appreciation for the academic achievements of Alaska Academy students, particularly the impressive performance of “23 fifth-grade students passing the DGS exam,” Mr. Shahed Ahmed commended Alaska Academy’s progress in providing engaging, attractive, and effective learning experiences for Alaskan students through the McGraw-Hill Wonder and Inspire Science curricula.

Listening to Alaska Academy’s specific requests, such as more frequent online account updates, additional Science books, and innovative assessment and testing methods, Ms. Vicky Nguyen assured that McGraw-Hill will take note and make the necessary adjustments as soon as possible.

Regarding the request for training and knowledge updates for Alaska Academy’s management and teaching staff, the McGraw-Hill representatives committed to continuing these activities as part of their regular program. They further stated that McGraw-Hill will arrange a separate online training program for Alaska Academy as soon as possible.

The 2024-2025 academic year marks the 8th year that Alaska Academy has implemented the curriculum from McGraw-Hill, a leading and prestigious publishing house known for its textbooks across various educational levels, from preschool to university, and diverse fields, including science, technology, mathematics, and business.
