ALASKA ACADEMY: TIẾNG VIỆT LESSONS – UNDERSTANDING WORDS THROUGH CREATIVE LEARNING

Understanding the crucial role of the Vietnamese language in a child’s development, Alaska Academy places special emphasis on innovation and creativity in Vietnamese lessons, complementing the 2018 Education Program through engaging learning projects.

The specialized Vietnamese lesson taught by Teacher Trần Đức Hạnh was a perfect example. Through activities in the Warm-up and Exploration phases, combined with Teacher Hạnh’s meticulous explanations, the children were thrilled to better understand the MEANING OF WORDS and learn to distinguish between ACTION WORDS (VERBS) and CHARACTERISTIC WORDS (ADJECTIVES).

The excitement continued as the students opened gift boxes and examined pictures to complete SENTENCES DESCRIBING ACTIONS. They then collaborated in group work to find more characteristic and action words. This led to an enthusiastic role-playing and acting session to demonstrate situations requiring the use of the learned vocabulary, such as “Sharing – Yielding to Friends – Helping.”

Thanks to these methods, the lesson became profound, easy to understand, and easy to remember, showcasing Alaska’s commitment to making Vietnamese language learning a dynamic and practical experience.
