ALASKA ACADEMY: THE CITY IN MY EYES…

What is a city? What are its characteristics? How do you draw a city picture with the most vibrant and realistic scenes and colors?

To answer these questions in the Art lesson themed “The City Today,” Teacher Nguyen Thi Uoc guided the Grade 3 students to follow “Bear” on an adventure. They discovered the familiar sounds and images of the city, along with the colors and features of houses and urban landscapes.

From this journey with Bear, the Alaskids were able to imagine: How should the city be composed? What basic shapes should be used to create houses and trees? What human activities should be added to create focal points in the picture?

Under the meticulous and systematic guidance of Teacher Nguyen Thi Uoc, and after observing vibrant and lively city images, the Grade 3 students were eager to start painting a city scene based on their own observations.

Now, let’s look forward to admiring these lovely paintings—where houses are arranged in their own rhythm, and where streets, trees, and people appear wonderfully through the eyes of a child
