✏️Encouraging students to read is a daily story at Alaska Academy.
Beyond designing a beautiful library with thousands of diverse and rewarding titles, reading sessions at Alaska are crafted with vibrant content and formats. This ensures Alaskids are always excited to dive into books and nurture a lifelong passion for every page they turn.
📚“EACH PAGE – A NEW WORLD” – an activity celebrating Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21) – is one such inspiring learning project!
Over nearly two weeks (April 6–17), Alaskids from Grades 1 to 5 were bursting with excitement as they created and expressed their unique personalities through engaging activities:
🌱Decorating Bookmarks
🌱Authoring Mini Books
🌱Creating Book Reports and Posters
Every idea, story, and brushstroke reflected the students’ keen observation, exploration, and creativity in reading, writing, and book decoration.
📚Not only the Alaskids but also the teachers felt immense joy admiring the unique, colorful bookmark designs; the tiny books holding rich inner worlds; and the Book Reports and Posters that looked like true works of art—all authored and designed by the Alaskids themselves.
V. Obruchev—the brilliant geologist, explorer, and science fiction writer—once shared: “The world is infinite, while our vision is limited. Open a book to find the world and gather that knowledge day by day.”
💕Our sincere thanks to Ms. Ha My and the Alaskids for such a brilliant and joyful learning project. May books and the act of reading always be cherished, loved, and sought after by our students every single day.❤️
