Every school year, to celebrate the Cold Food Festival (Tết Hàn Thực), the little ones at Alaska Preschool join in the joyful tradition of making “Banh Troi” (sweet glutinous rice balls).
Though they are still the same pretty, snow-white round treats, with each passing year, the way our children observe, learn, and practice shows another wonderful step in their growth.
We invite grandparents and parents to take a look at our “Banh Troi” making workshop in the Alaska Preschool cooking room. Let’s share in the joy as the children explore ingredients, hand-mold their own treats, and savor the delicious results of their hard work!
