As a gentle and child-loving English teacher who is now in his second year with his students, Teacher Jordan could easily compare and evaluate each child’s progress from the previous month in terms of:

Listening and speaking skills, language interaction.

Retention of monthly topic content.

Specific pronunciation points that need correction.

The entire conversation between Teacher Jordan and the Mercury A1 students was recorded by their assistant teacher, Thuy Huyen, and sent to parents. Parents can use these videos to compare with the previous month’s recordings and see their child’s progress and changes month by month.

At Alaska Preschool, children are introduced to English daily through fun activities and natural interaction with foreign teachers.
Additionally, at the end of each month, the English teachers have a short conversation with each child about the topics they studied that month.
This activity not only helps teachers evaluate their own teaching but also gives children a chance to sit one-on-one with their teacher for a longer conversation. They learn to express themselves confidently and articulate their thoughts in a new language. This also allows teachers to identify each child’s strengths and weaknesses to help them improve.
