✏️ In the midst of turbulent seas, there are always lighthouses that never go out at night, guiding ships to avoid getting lost. These lighthouses are watched over by diligent and responsible lighthouse keepers, who dedicate their youth to the islands of their homeland.
✏️ The story of the lighthouse and the lighthouse keeper in the vast sky and sea resonates more meaningfully with the students at Alaska International Primary School when it is skillfully taught by teacher Pham Thanh Mai during a Vietnamese lesson titled “The Lighthouses.”
✏️ By using songs that praise the islands and the image of a sturdy lighthouse alongside a strong boat conquering the waves, the lesson excites the third graders as they are introduced to new and fascinating information about the role of the lighthouse, the lighthouse keeper, and solar energy.
✏️ Through this lesson, the students learn to read correctly, read clearly, read expressively, understand the meaning of words, and grasp the significance and content of the passage being conveyed. This experience naturally helps the students nurture their language skills.
