🪁Today, the young students of the Mercury Block at Alaska Preschool had a wonderful time learning outside.
🪁While walking and playing in the park, they not only saw the bustling streets with vibrant flags but also heard countless familiar sounds:
The howling of the wind, the rustling of leaves, the beeping of car horns, the hurried footsteps of people, the lively chatter of conversations, the barking of dogs, the chirping of birds… and even the cheerful laughter of their own friends!
🪁According to Ms. Pho Thi Bich Huong, Vice-Principal of Alaska Preschool, “Today’s activity of listening to and identifying sounds is an important practical part of the lesson on sounds in the English curriculum at Alaska. This is a learning activity that both teachers and students look forward to with great excitement.”
🪁Back in the classroom, while playing and learning with their foreign teacher, Mercury students were already thrilled to participate in the “Guess the Sound” game and listened attentively to stories like “Sounds in the City” and “The Turtle and the Flute” to understand the importance and wonder of sound.
Through these activities, the children also learned to “identify which sounds come from which objects/phenomena/activities,” “memorize English vocabulary related to sounds,” and use complete English sentences to describe what sounds they heard.
💕Thank you for today’s lesson on exploring sounds in our environment. It allowed our children to step into a bigger world, to observe, feel, and listen, helping them to love the sounds that make up our lives❤️
