⛳️ Anticipation, excitement, waiting with bated breath… and then, the Alaska Academy Preschool event, “Now, I have grown up,” arrived!
⛳️ Together with friends and teachers, the Jupiter and Mercury students had a truly fun and happy day “Conquering Mount Alaska,” discovering a treasure trove of beneficial knowledge in the spacious schoolyard, under the gentle late-spring weather.
⛳️ The reward for the “talented mountaineers” was a dinner buffet with lots of delicious and nutritious dishes, and a lively and engaging program of singing, dancing, circus performances, and magic tricks.
⛳️ How could they not be happy and surprised when the familiar schoolyard suddenly featured fairytale-like tents? None other than the little ones themselves were the owners of those tents – a place welcoming them with plenty of cakes, candles, and flowers.
⛳️ Perhaps the most curious and excited moments were when the children got to hold flashlights and magnifying glasses, playing the role of brave explorers discovering the schoolyard at night – a place where little birds, crabs, and crickets were hiding under trees and bushes.
⛳️ Tonight is the first night that the Jupiter and Mercury children stayed at school and slept overnight with their friends and teachers. Parents were a little worried, but the children’s teachers certainly “didn’t get a full night’s sleep.”
⛳️ After a year of learning, directly caring for, loving, and teaching the children… for the teachers, the “Now, I have grown up” event is an opportunity for them to observe their children more closely as they become independent, grow up, and gradually become more aware of their responsibilities in daily learning and living.
⛳️ For the children of Alaska: Their willingness to stay at school, confidently participate in activities, and proactively perform self-care skills… is also an affirmation: Alaska is my school, my childhood. From Alaska Academy – “I’ve Grown Up.”
