✏️ Today, the first graders at Alaska International School were truly excited to chat with Ms. Cam Orange from the Language and EQ Club, the author of the book “Lucky Snake Tet.”
✏️ Not only did they embark on a colorful journey with four friends: Green Snake, Flower Tieu, Bell Tail, and Chestnut; but the children were also thrilled to play trivia games to win lovely prizes.
✏️ Especially, through the content of the book “Lucky Snake Tet” and searching for answers to questions, our beloved young readers learned many interesting facts about the TRADITIONAL TET holiday of our nation.
▶️ In the first-grade curriculum at Alaska, the Language and EQ subject always holds an important position, as teachers believe that reading books is the shortest, most engaging, and enjoyable way for children to quickly become proficient in reading and writing while having beautiful experiences in life.
✏️ Accordingly, to align with the learning and language development process of first-grade students, the Language and EQ subject for first grade is divided into two parts:
🔹 TERM I: FUN READING (getting acquainted, listening to readings, forming a reading habit)
🔹 TERM II: OBSERVATION, EXPERIENCE (exploring nature, the senses, the transformation journey of surrounding objects; using language to express emotions through short paragraphs and small stanzas).
✏️ With a clever and inspiring approach, the Language and EQ subject has become a class that children look forward to each week – because it not only features fascinating stories but also the joy of conversing, exploring, and completing lovely crafts together.
💕 Thank you to the teachers at the Language and EQ Club for introducing the wonderful book “Lucky Snake Tet,” allowing the FUN READING program for first grade to conclude with sweet echoes.
💕 We promise to diligently read books and always give them special love so we can OBSERVE and EXPERIENCE even more in the upcoming Term II. ❤️
