The Graduation Ceremony for our Grade 5 Alaskids—our beloved little goats from the Class of 2021-2026—has finally arrived.

Watching you all stand tall, confident, and full of creativity on the graduation stage brings up feelings that are truly hard to put into words.

The little boys and girls who arrived at Alaska years ago, so innocent and shy, have now graduated from elementary school and are ready to step onto a brand-new chapter of their journey. You have not only grown in stature and enriched your knowledge, but you have also matured in your thinking, skills, and love for the world around you.

Your growth today is a source of immense joy and special happiness for your grandparents, parents, and teachers—those who have been by your side, loving and nurturing you every single day.

Wide horizons lie ahead. There will be initial moments of hesitation, and challenges that you must face on your own. Yet, your teachers firmly believe that you will be resilient little trees standing strong against the wind and rain, always turning toward the sun to grow tall…
