ALASKA ACADEMY: EXCEPTIONAL YOUNG ORATORS SHINE

After the Preliminary Round of the Eloquence Contest at the English Festival 2025, 11 outstanding Alaskids have been selected for the Final Round.

These young speakers not only demonstrate fluent and coherent English skills, a rich vocabulary, and a solid grammatical foundation, but they also showcase enthusiasm and confidence in using English to express their views on issues close to their hearts – from family and school to friends, nature, and the environment. Impressively, they provided articulate responses to the challenging questions posed by foreign teachers.

The Eloquence Contest at the English Festival 2025 attracted a large number of Alaskids, eager to showcase their linguistic abilities. The initiative, creativity, and confidence displayed by these students in using English as a second language are a testament to the outstanding advantages of the English program at Alaska Academy.

A key contributor to the students’ success is the Language Arts curriculum, which equips Alaskids with essential skills in Communication, Collaboration, and Critical Thinking, while also providing them with updated knowledge about Culture, Knowledge, and Society.
