ALASKA ACADEMY: CULTIVATING A CULTURE OF GREETING

     At Alaska Academy, every classroom features a COMMITMENT BOARD dedicated to nurturing a greeting culture, adorned with heartwarming messages.

In many educational contexts, GREETING is one of the first lessons Alaskids learn from their teachers. The goal is to instill in them the habit of greeting teachers, friends, grandparents, and parents.

Through consistent guidance, reminders, and role modeling, the teachers at Alaska Academy believe that GREETING will become a cherished habit for each child and an essential skill for navigating social interactions with warmth and kindness.
