🌱 Parents and teachers, come along with the 2nd grade students of 2A3 – Alaska International Elementary School – on an exciting adventure called “COASTAL DEFENDER SUPERHEROES.”
🌱 This is actually a science project aimed at: Protecting the coastline from erosion caused by tsunamis – a project that is part of a series of science projects being taught to elementary school students at Alaska!
▶️ Through the project’s processes, the 2A3 students learned many wonderful things, such as:
🔺 Discovering the principles of coastal protection: The children became “little scientists” exploring the powerful impact of tsunamis and the importance of protecting the coastline.
🔺 Developing creative skills and scientific thinking: The children had to “create magic” by using sand, wooden sticks, and wet paper to build coastal defenses. This is an opportunity for them to apply theory to practice, practice creativity, and problem-solving skills!
🔺 Learning about the combination of materials in construction: The children also learned how to combine sand, wooden sticks, and wet paper to create a solid protective structure.
🔺 Developing teamwork and communication skills: When working in groups, the children must share ideas, cooperate, and solve common problems, thereby improving their communication and teamwork skills.
🔺 Environmental awareness: Not only do the children learn about science, but they also learn to love and protect nature. This is a valuable lesson in environmental awareness, helping them become “Earth-protecting superheroes” in the future!
▶️ Learning science at Alaska is always a wonderful time for every child – a place that not only nurtures the curiosity of Alaskids but also motivates them to constantly explore, build, protect, and develop the world around them.
🏃‍♀️ Come to Alaska, learn science with the Alaskids…❤️
