🎨 Today’s art class for the Jupiter A3 class at Alaska Preschool was a truly meaningful experience.
🎨 In preparation for Reunification Day on April 30th, the children worked together to create national flags – a vibrant red flag with a central five-pointed yellow star.
🎨 Before beginning the hands-on activity, the teacher took the time to share the deep significance of the national flag. The children learned that this iconic symbol is closely tied to the country’s long struggle for independence and its ongoing efforts to preserve national sovereignty – a vital and sacred representation of their homeland.
🎨 With great joy and enthusiasm, the children measured, drew, cut, and pasted the small red and yellow flag designs. The act of creating these meaningful symbols allowed the children to feel a profound connection to their national identity and pride.
💕 Thank you, Alaska Academy, for providing this valuable lesson. The teachers are sowing precious “seeds” each day, nurturing the children’s love for their homeland and instilling in them a sense of joy and honor in being citizens of a peaceful, free nation. ❤️
