After days of anticipation and preparation, the Coming-of-Age Ceremony for the Grade 5 students of Alaska International Primary School finally arrived. The ceremony was held in the familiar schoolyard, a space that has been home to these students for the past five years of their elementary education. Joining the 105 Grade 5 students were their teachers, grandparents, parents, and loved ones.

This was perhaps the last time the Grade 5 students would wear the uniform bearing the beloved “Alaska Academy” logo. Tomorrow, they will embark on a new chapter, entering a higher level of education in a new environment with new teachers and friends.

We hope that with the knowledge, skills, and love that Alaska has instilled in them, the students will confidently navigate their next journey, and that Alaska will forever remain a cherished memory, a beautiful recollection of their innocent childhood.
