As the vibrant month of May approaches, signaling the arrival of a glorious summer, Alaskids gathered for a solemn and meaningful flag-raising ceremony.

Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (7/5/1954 – 7/5/2024), the 134th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (19/5/1890 – 19/5/2024), and the 83rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers’ Team (15/5/1941 – 19/5/2024), 47 well-behaved students with outstanding academic achievements were admitted to the team – an honor to stand in the ranks of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers’ Team.

Also at today’s May Assembly, the students were delighted to receive numerous certificates and awards from the school’s Board of Directors:

BOOKWORM Certificates for diligent young readers

APRIL STAR Certificates for students with outstanding achievements in April

Awards for teams with outstanding science projects at ALASKA SCIENCE FAIR 2024

Awards for the teams with the highest scores in the ROBOTICS COMPETITION.

Thank you, students, for your hard work; for loving your school, your friends, and for always actively participating in activities, contributing to the image of Alaska Academy as a creative and happy place.

We hope that you will have meaningful and vibrant experiences in May to start an exciting and joyful summer
