ALASKA ROBOTICS COMPETITON

The ALASKA ROBOTICS COMPETITION is a highly anticipated event at the Alaska Science Fair 2024. It is an exciting platform for teams to showcase their knowledge, intelligence, and dexterity through their miniature robots.

Twenty teams representing twenty classes from grades 1 to 5 will participate in the ALASKA ROBOTICS COMPETITION. They will control their robots to perform the task of collecting and transporting clean energy sources (hydropower, wind power, solar power, and wave power) to assist humans in developing production and sustaining life.

For grades 1 and 2: Students will control the robots via Bluetooth connection; for grades 3, 4, and 5: the robots will operate autonomously. The competition will take place on robot competition table.

According to Ms. Nguyen Kim Nu Thao, Head of Alaska’s Science program: “By collaborating with Robot Station company to organize the ALASKA ROBOTICS COMPETITION, Alaska aims to create an enriching playground to help Alaskids develop their logical and creative thinking skills, as well as the STEM skills they learn daily.”

Through teamwork and robot programming, Alaskids will enhance their collaboration and communication skills, fostering confidence, passion, and a thirst for exploring new things in the field of technology
