✍️Sorting and recycling waste is a deeply practical environmental science lesson. But how can we convey this knowledge to our Mercury Block preschoolers (ages 5–6) in a natural way—helping them absorb the lesson while effectively building language skills?
The answer was brilliantly demonstrated by our native English teachers at Alaska Kindergarten through an exciting “Reduce – Reuse – Recycle” lesson!
👉During this hands-on learning activity, our Mercury preschoolers worked together to:
🌱 Observe the materials and shapes of various items to sort waste accurately into designated bins.
🌱 Understand that throwing trash in the right place protects our animal friends, and recycling paper is a meaningful action to save green trees!
✍️Through movement, interactive play, and direct practice with native teachers, our Mercury young learners not only absorbed environmental knowledge but also greatly developed their logical thinking and observation skills.
Most importantly, acquiring language within a real-world context helps children respond in English naturally, expand their vocabulary, confidently use short sentence patterns, and pronounce with accurate intonation every single day.
💕Thank you, teachers, for delivering lessons full of joy—where children learn not only to use English to expand their horizons, but also to share with friends and confidently communicate with international teachers… making every day at school a happy journey of discovery! ❤️
