ALASKA ACADEMY: EXPLORING HANOI’S LOTUS SEASON WITH OUR “LITTLE LOTUS BUDS”

June arrives, bringing the gentle fragrance of early-blooming lotuses.

Today, as the Flower Exploration class opened, that sweet scent drifted through every window and corner of Alaska Preschool, greeted by the pure excitement of our little ones.

As it turns out, the lotus is not only beautiful, but every single part—from the petals, stamens, and stems to the leaves and roots—is incredibly useful!

Gathering around large bamboo trays filled with lotuses, the children softly touched the big, round leaves and velvety petals. They curiously counted the tiny stamens and happily breathed in the pure, refreshing fragrance. How delighted they all were!

Confidently posing with mischievous, gap-toothed smiles and bright, clear eyes, the teachers and children captured beautiful photos with the lotuses right inside their cozy classroom.
