ALASKA ACADEMY: STEM PROJECT – “Our Loving Family Tree”

“Family” is always a beautiful word.

It’s the place where children grow up, embraced with love by their grandparents and parents.

It plays a crucial role in shaping each person’s personality, thoughts, and behavior.

Because family is our root, growing up together in a happy, loving home is one of life’s most precious blessings.

This July, we warmly invite grandparents and parents to visit the Grade 2 classrooms at Alaska International Primary School and witness the excitement as our students participate in the STEM Project “Our Loving Family Tree”.

Tasked with cutting, pasting, and coloring, each child created a beautiful family tree — where every leaf and flower represents a cherished family member. Our Alaskids took great joy in personally arranging the images for their very own “Loving Family Tree”.

Through this project, our students not only learned about family relationships, roles, and titles but also embraced a deeper truth: family is the most precious gift we have. Each member holds a vital place — like the roots, trunk, branches, and leaves of a tree, together forming a strong and beautiful whole.

Together, let’s continue to love and nurture our family tree, day by day, so it may always bear the sweet fruits of love, dear Alaskids!
