💥Statistics show that:
👉On average, one tree can produce about 8,333 A4 sheets of paper. To produce one ton of paper, approximately 17 trees are needed.
👉Simply by saving paper daily, we can help preserve countless trees.
🌱This pressing fact motivated the teachers of Grades 4 and 5 at Alaska Academy to develop and launch the STEM Project “Save Paper, Save Trees,” with the aim of:
🔸Raising Alaskids’ awareness about the harmful effects of paper waste.
🔸Encouraging the habit of saving paper in their studies and daily lives.
🔸Highlighting the importance of forests, thereby spreading the message of protecting trees and the environment.
🔸Instilling “green living” skills in Alaskids, teaching them to cherish and protect natural resources.
🌱 “Save Paper, Save Trees” is not just a project integrating knowledge and skills from multiple subjects; it’s also a platform where Alaskids get to take on unique roles such as Science Researchers, Biologists, Reporters, Propagandists, and Artisans. This allows them to explore, discover, and experience environmental protection activities from diverse, multi-faceted perspectives.
