✏️ The students at Alaska Preschool are introduced to a wide range of exciting science topics, including Life, Physics, Earth Science, and Space, through the school’s comprehensive SCIENCE PROGRAM, which is taught entirely in English.
✏️ To cultivate the children’s curiosity and help them absorb scientific knowledge effectively and naturally, the science lessons for Kindergarten students are designed with engaging content, easy-to-remember information, and high applicability.
✏️ For example, when learning about WEATHER, the children explore the following concepts:
🔺 Weather factors: temperature, humidity, precipitation, and wind
🔺 Extreme weather phenomena: floods, storms, droughts, prolonged heat, and sudden cold snaps
🔺 Weather measuring instruments: thermometers, anemometers, rain gauges, and barometers
✏️ Through these lessons, the children gradually learn about COMMON WEATHER PATTERNS, such as: cold winters, hot summers, cooler temperatures at night and in the morning, and sunny weather during the day.
▶️ At the end of the Weather Module, the Kindergarten students are excited to design their own WEEKLY WEATHER FORECAST BOARD, where they can predict the weather for the upcoming week and plan their outdoor activities accordingly.
👉 We invite parents to take a look at their children’s weather forecast and enjoy the opportunity to experience “weather that pleases everyone.”
