ALASKA ACADEMY: CELEBRATING 42 YEARS OF VIETNAMESE TEACHERS’ DAY

Today – November 20, 2024 – the ceremony commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2024) took place solemnly at Alaska School.

Together, teachers and students reflected on the history of the establishment of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day as well as the precious tradition of “Respecting Teachers and Valuing Education” of our nation.

To express their respect and affection for their teachers, over the past month, the Alaskids have actively participated in the knowledge competition “Conquering the Peak of Alaska” and thanked their teachers for their dedication with outstanding results.

Especially, on the very day of November 20, at the grand concert “BRIGHT STARS, GRATEFUL HEARTS,” 20 performances prepared meticulously by the students, teachers, and esteemed parents served as a meaningful spiritual gift, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the teachers – those who tirelessly and diligently care for and educate the Alaskids every day.

“Teaching is the greatest art because it is the combination of intellect and spirit” (John Steinbeck). Thank you to the teachers who have come to Alaska, who are committed to our school, and who work with us to build a happy and creative learning environment.
