ALASKA ACADEMY: STEM EDUCATION FOR PRESCHOOLERS

With the goal of equipping its teaching staff with a comprehensive understanding of STEM Education and the skills to effectively apply it in their teaching, Alaska Preschool has organized two training sessions on the topic: “APPLYING THE STEM EDUCATION MODEL FOR PRESCHOOL.”

Drawing from her extensive experience and updated knowledge of STEM Education, Ms. Pham Thuy Phuong, the Principal of Alaska Preschool, collaborated with preschool teachers to analyze the key concepts, characteristics, features, and benefits of the STEM Education approach. Together, they explored strategies for creating engaging, age-appropriate STEM lessons, projects, and activities for preschool children.

Immediately following the training, the teachers leveraged the knowledge and skills they gained to implement several interesting STEM projects that reflected their creativity and readiness to further integrate STEM Education into Alaska’s curriculum, thereby enhancing its quality over time.
